WARDOGSSeason 02
Large metal shelter standing in a flooded industrial yard

Build less,
build on purpose

Costs, build speed and durability were re-tuned so a structure is a considered investment rather than something you spam.

What it costs to build

Build supply cost per buildable, Season 1 vs Season 2Most buildables cost more supply in Season 2; the Talon 9K-SAM and Vanguard CIWS are cheaper. // Drill rigs

Drill rigs run shorter

These changes severely reduce how long drill rigs can be active for, along with the fuel required to start and keep them active. The intention is to reduce the prevalence of multi drill rig builds becoming a dominant strategy, without removing the possibility of it ever occurring. We will continue to observe the effects these changes have.

Restock from munitions

New firing animation: the shell drops in as it fires, slowing the rate.

Build speed

  • Medium hammer now contributes less per swing.
  • Critical spots give a smaller bonus than before.
  • Large hammer build rate per swing is unchanged.

If you build FOBs

Building is now an investment, not a habit.

What changes

  • Doors 22 → 80 supply, gates 85 → 200, Bremmer walls 15 → 32.
  • Stingray 150 → 650, mortar 150 → 600; the Talon and CIWS get cheaper.
  • The medium hammer contributes less per swing, and critical spots give a smaller bonus.
  • New: the MG Nest (650 supply, large hammer), the Large Shelter (250) and the Wooden Step.
  • Hammers can’t breach doors any more; the Halligan bar breaches doors and gates.
  • Barbed wire and sandbags can sit on Bremmer walls, and unfinished builds collapse when unsupported.

Still the same, or still broken

  • Destroying your build now pays the attacker its supply cost, so dearer builds are bigger targets.
  • Mortar shell-cam vision, the other big FOB complaint, is untouched. Reddit

If you hate mortars

Fewer mortars, firing slower. Artillery is a different story.

What changes

  • A mortar costs 600 supply to build instead of 150.
  • Ammo per munitions pallet halves (75 → 150 restock) and a new drop-in animation slows the fire rate.
  • Destroying a mortar now pays $650 instead of $300.

Still the same, or still broken

  • The shell-camera vision that reveals other emplacements isn’t mentioned. Reddit
  • SPH-2 artillery gets easier to unlock: Driver level 31 instead of WARDOG 90, and $350k instead of $500k.
